This is a water jar with a high rise, similar to a water jar with a Shino tachibana design and an arrowhead mouth. The body depicts a sailing boat, while the reverse side shows wildflowers like violets, and the sky above the boat is decorated with ogaki swords. The white glaze applied over the entire surface is thick and partially let down, but the glaze has a soft and gentle surface. The bottom of the bowl has a flat bottom with an itokiri-shaped cut, and the clay skin around the base has a reddish tinge.
It was handed down from the Masuda family and is inscribed by Ryōrōsai, a member of the Omotesenke school of tea ceremony. This is one of the representative Shino mizusashi.
