This is a slightly shallow handled tea bowl with an interesting abstract pattern on the body. What is very rare is that a haseki (flower imprint), which is thought to be made by Furuta Oribe, is written directly on the side of the base with iron pigments, and since it is painted with a feldspar glaze, there is no doubt that it is from the beginning. Although it is somewhat different from Oribe’s Hanaseki seen on letters, the brush strokes of “Shigenori” are carried naturally, so we may consider it to be a Hanaseki of Furuta Oribe. If so, it is an extremely valuable material. It is said to have been handed down to an old family in Kanazawa. It is thought to be from the first half of the Keicho era(1596-1615) judging from the haseki.
