This jar-shaped pitcher, resembling a seed jar, is slightly thicker.
The bottom of the jar is raised by a board because it is made by pounding, and it is covered with a black candy glaze underneath and a thick white ash glaze from the mouth to the shoulder. The white glaze, which looks like a waterfall on a black glazed ground, is magnificent. It is not clear whether it was made at the Kawauchi Kiln in Fuji or the Uchigaso Kiln in Takatori.
