Bizen wine bottle、 known as "Toshiwasure"

Height 15.7 cm, mouth diameter 3.9 cm, body diameter 8.8 cm, bottom diameter 5.1 cm
While the tokuri had been fired to a dull finish, this piece has been fired firmly and tightly. Also, in contrast to the former’s poor appearance, this piece stands up smoothly, showing the beauty of flowing curves. However, it is not a hard and stiff figure, and has enough of a witticism and fun. It seems to have been thrown on the potter’s wheel quite thickly and is surprisingly heavy. The kiln-changed scene looks as if it were designed according to the shape of the vessel, and such an interesting scene is extremely rare. A single piece of stone sumac appears at the hem of the body, and a wooden spatula is turned around the hem to the bottom to form the shape. The inscription “Nenowasure” probably means “to forget one’s age” because of the fascination of the workmanship.
It was passed down through the Fujita family.
