This is a variant of a kanjyu (vase) in the kankokuchi-kinuta style, and is probably a very powerful piece, but it lacks scenery. The neck is covered with spatula lines in all directions, and the body is also decorated with strong vertical and horizontal spatula lines. The mouth and shoulders are covered with a sesame glaze, and the body is burnished red.
