Height 27.9 cm, mouth diameter 7.7 cm, bottom diameter 10.3 cm
This gourd-shaped vase with a rounded top and gently tapered base is unique to Iga. The tight body has horn-like ears on both sides. The entire body is thickly molded, giving the vase a sturdy, heavy feel, and is one of the oldest Iga ware vases. The clay skin around the base of the vase is relatively soft and tight. The ash falls heavily from the mouth to the hem, forming a beadlo glaze, and the back of the vase is reddish brown and tightly fired. The upper part of the body is covered with stripes, and the lower part is also decorated with mountain-way-shaped spatula and vertical spatula.
