　This tub-shaped water jar has a sharply flattened mouth rim and a stepped mouth. The ash glaze is applied from the mouth to the body in a truly brilliant manner, and the clay surface is beautifully varnished in red or white. It is probably one of the most brilliant Shigaraki water jars. The bottom is shallowly carved in the center, leaving the tatami mat. There are two fan-shaped marks in the center of the prospect.
