This is a dish with a slightly shallow guard rim, a rare type of dish with the same guard rim. It is decorated on three sides with a Chinese flower design, with a cloisonne design in underglaze blue between them, and a lotus petal design on the rim. The reverse side is decorated on three sides with arabesques with leaf tips centering on a peony flower, and the base is covered with serrated lotus petal design. It is thought to have been made early in the Okawachi domain kilns.
