Square dish with flying bird design, enamelled ware

Square dish with flying bird design, enamelled ware

Height 2.8 cm, mouth diameter 19.7 cm, bottom diameter 13.2 cm
Both dishes have almost the same shape, but the base is a little rougher than that of the dish with the design of peonies and birds, and the shape of the dish is also zanguri. Although the design on the front and the ground patterns around the plate are different, the basic color scheme and design are the same. There may have originally been a set of these pieces, but as the value of Ko-Kutani has increased in recent years, they have come to be appreciated as a single item. The backs of the Kakudani plates are decorated with ivy patterns on the four sides of the plate and with peony patterns in an arabesque style on the four sides of the Kakudani plates with flying bird motifs. Both are marked with Kakufuku inscriptions on the base.
