Kōrin & Kenzan: square dish with

　This set of two rectangular plates, each with a picture of “Kanzan Jitoku,” seems to have been made as a pair and is housed in the same box. The plates were apparently made as a set, and are housed in the same box. The painting is attributed to Korin, the elder brother of Kenzan, as the plates are inscribed with “Seikorin-zu” or “Jakumeikorin-zu. The dotted lines on the Dopo in Kansan have a rhythm unique to Korin, and his light brushwork is also used well in his ceramic paintings. On the painting of Mount Kansan, Qianshan wrote an inscription in praise of the work, “I am not a mountain, but I am white, and I am always silent in the clouds,” and stamped with the red and white seals of “Shougo” and “Touin,” while the inscription on the painting of Mount Jade reads “Mount Kansan is like my brother and his wife. It is clearly a poem in praise of his brother’s work, which was created with his brother’s cooperation, and it shows Qianshan’s overflowing emotion. The low, raised inner surface is decorated with cloud arabesques, while the outer surface is decorated with a five-petaled floral design with a central window cutout, and the surrounding area is also decorated with cloud patterns.
