This bowl is a copy of an old Mishima ware bowl from the early Yi Dynasty in Korea, and the calendar-style pattern is expressed in white inlay, with chrysanthemum patterns painted on the inside and five eye-shaped marks. The mark “Niami” is stamped in a small, tight-fitting foot ring, and the accompanying box is inscribed “Mishima bowl, Do-hachi mark”. The glaze also faithfully reproduces the style of the original.
