This is similar to the green-glazed gold-painted young pine design food basket, but this is a round food basket made in the style of an inro lid. The lid is clearly glazed in lapis lazuli, and the young pine design is carved shallowly around the rim, with a thick layer of gold paint applied on top. The body is also carved with the young pine design and covered in gold paint. It has a low-rising ring foot ring and the Yongle mark is stamped in the center of the foot ring. The lid of the box has the inscription “Wakamatsu Kintame Koji ware round food basket” and the back of the lid has the inscription “Zenichiro Zou” and the Yongle mark is stamped. It is extremely rare to find a piece with a blue glaze.
