This tea bowl is almost the same shape as the tea bowl with the design of a crane rising in the morning, and it also imitates the style of Ninshō.
It is not clear whether it is a sun or a moon, but it depicts a grasshopper in gold and green on a circle with silver glaze. The color scheme is certainly similar to that of Ninshō’s overglaze enamels. The mark “Eiraku” is stamped on the side of the footring, and the lid of the box it came in is inscribed “Ninshō copy, made by Zengoro”.
