This flat-bottomed water with an elongated orifice at the receiving end, still without a handle, is one of the oldest Koseto water jars. It is one of the oldest Koseto mizu. It is made of a rather rough grayish-white clay and is molded with a corded clay roll-up. The ash glaze was applied thinly over the entire surface by brush application, but the underglaze is clouded white and the ash melts and flows over it. This may be due to the fact that the ash has not fully fused with the feldspar.
