Lord of Karatsu Castle in Hizen Province (Saga Prefecture), Ogasawara Nagamasa relocated from Tanagura, Oshu (Higashishirakawa-gun, Fukushima Prefecture) in 1818.
Considering the pottery industry in his domain, he had his artisans make a white patterned cloud crane similar to the Yatsushiro style and presented it to the Shogunate. He died in September 1823.
