A great specialty. Fuji is the king of the mountains, and this is probably named in the sense that it is the king of all karamono eggplant tea caddies. In fact, this is the most outstanding of all karamono eggplant tea caddies, a large and imposing tea caddy that is worthy of the name “Fuji” in every respect. It was owned by Ashikaga Yoshiteru, the famous doctor Kyokunase Dosan, Yujo-bo, Oda Nobunaga, Dosan’s grandson Suitake, Toyotomi Hideyoshi, and then to the Maeda Toshiie family, where it was kept as one of the three treasures of the Kaga family.
