A Chungking specialty. A tea caddy in a later kiln, made by Sho’i. The shape of this tea caddy is much tighter than those of Hatsuzo, Rokuzo, and other tea caddies. This tea caddy has a much tighter shape than those of the Hatsuzo and Rokuso tea caddies, and although it has less scenery, it is an excellent tea caddy in terms of workmanship. The chestnut-colored ground reflects the sunlight and the black glaze shows a pattern on the chestnut-colored ground. It was owned by Kobori Enshu, Matsudaira Iga no Mamoru, Chiba Motomasa, and the Akahoshi family before joining the Umakoshi Kyohei family.
