This small seed jar has a reddish-brown fire color on the entire surface, which is very typical of Bizen. It is made of coarse clay containing many pebbles, and is roughly shaped with cracks at the joints. The rim is thin at one end and the finish is rough. The firing process is not sufficient, and it is close to that of a kawara-boshi (tile body). This is one of the most common small vases made for daily use.
