 This tea urn was used in a private house in Kokonoe, Kumanogawa-cho, Shingu City, Wakayama Prefecture. It is a short-necked jar with an outward-curving “ku” shape, and the body is in the shape of a well-shouldered arithmetic ball. It is a four-tiered, cord-and-soil rolled-up, four-lobed design with three double-ringed ears attached to the shoulders. Between the ears, there are three engravings of tree patterns with roots growing out of them. There is also the inscription “Ken” on the body.
