The design of this rather shallow, flat bowl, with a single Chinese character for “good fortune” clearly engraved in the center of the expected shape, surrounded by a floral pattern carved in lines, is interesting and somewhat Chinese in flavor. The design has an interesting Chinese flavor. The dark coloring of the vitriol is a reflection of the color of the stone. The dark coloring of the vitriol shines brightly against the smooth yellow glaze of fried skin.
What is even more impressive about this bowl is the good shape of the bowl, with the shape and design in perfect harmony. The rim is lined with softly carved lines with an ajiro pattern, and floral arabesques are placed in between. The moist glaze on the reverse side has a faint trace of gallbladder sin, and the glaze inside the base is slightly burnished.
