Kiseto vases and water jars of the so-called “tachitsudo” shape are the most notable examples from the Tensho period. Many of these Kiseido vases in the shape of a standing drum were associated with Rikyu and his followers, and this vase with the inscription “Hiroiko” was also handed down as a Senke specialty, and is inscribed by Sotan.
