Although the shape of the vessel differs from that of the Oribe fan-faced mukozuke, the design is similar to that of the Oribe fan-faced mukozuke at the Tokyo National Museum. The diagonal corners are right-angled with a right-angled corner, and the body is clearly decorated with a design of a vase and a mountain shape. The interior still retains fabric patterns, indicating that the molding was done by die-cutting. The reddish clay skin is visible on the shallow, rounded base.
