Oribe "shoe-shaped tea bowl

Height 6.7 cm, mouth diameter 11.2 x 13.5 cm, base diameter 5.9 cm
Along with black oribe, green glazed tea bowls on a red ground were also produced. However, compared to black Oribe, few red Oribe tea bowls have ancient characteristics, and most of them are thought to have been made between the late Keicho period and the Genna period.
This tea bowl, together with the Oribe Kutsu Tea Bowl with a design of a wheel with a single wheel in Oribe, is the most excellent of all the red Oribe tea bowls that we have seen. It is a rather shallow tea bowl with a roughly triangular body made of red clay. The pattern is painted on the red base with white decorative clay, and the white lines are further painted with iron pigments and covered with a thin feldspar glaze, and the mouth is glazed with green glaze. The painting on the front of the bowl is very interesting, and the base of the bowl is rounded off neatly and honestly.
The glazed surface is also soft.
