This is a hexagonal boar-shaped vessel similar to those seen in Kizeto and Tsubakide Seto, and in particular, the shape of the vessel is exactly the same as that of Tsubakide Seto. The entire surface, except for the bottom, is covered with green glaze. Nowadays, it is used for sake cups, so it is extremely rare to find a set of five like this.
Oribe Oribe Oribe ware from the Yashitada kiln in the Edo period is quite different in style from Oribe ware from Motoyashiki and other kilns. The main characteristic is that green glaze is not applied separately, and the glazed surface is often yellowish and smoothly melted. However, even in Yashida, Motoyashiki style wares were fired in the early period.
