　The small, tight base rises high and has a stooped appearance similar to that of Yi Dynasty teacups, but Karatsu teacups are rare. This tea bowl has an unusual design with a petal-like pattern on three sides near the outer mouth and an “X” mark between the three sides. It is thickly glazed overall. It seems to be an old work as an ekaratsu.
