This is a cylindrical mukozuke with a rounded bottom and a squarely stroked mouth, and the base is made in the style of a goze. The base is made in the style of a goze bottom. The two sides of the bowl are decorated with a glauber’s saddle, and the two sides are decorated with grass-like patterns painted with poor brushwork, which is characteristic of Karatsu. The shape is similar to Shino and Oribe mukozuke, but is rare in Karatsu. It is assumed to have been made by the Tani Kiln of the jar shop.
