This is a chunky jar-shaped incense burner with a flat base and low, square legs on three sides. It is decorated with a white straw ash glaze and an ame glaze, each applied over one side of the body, with the center of the body bordered by the other. A similar piece of pottery was excavated from the Uchigaso kiln in Takatori.
