Height 8.5 cm, mouth diameter 8.1 cm, bottom diameter 4.8 cm
This is an incense burner of a unique shape with a stepped body, a large bulge at the base, and a slightly widened mouth. The bottom is of the go-zoko type, with a hinokogaki design around the mouth and an Asuka design on the body, as well as paintings of arrowheads and bridges on the hem. This is one of the best examples of Karatsu ware incense burners. It was probably fired in the Tani Kiln of Jioya or the Afoya Kiln.
