A large, stout vessel in the form of what is called a “taro tokuri” (a sake cup with a sweet potato filling). The mouth and base are covered with a bright sesame seed glaze, while the rest of the body is brownish or reddish brown. The back of the pot has a kiln mark carved in spatula.
