Height 21.7 cm, mouth diameter 7.1 cm, bottom diameter 16.3 cm
This is a typical example of what is commonly known as a “ship tokutari” or “turnip tokutari. The body of the vessel is full of stability, and the body is relaxed and bulging. The mouth and shoulders of the vessel have been burned red in the style of a Hidasuki, as if the vessel had been covered with something, and ash has fallen over the entire surface from the shoulders to the bottom of the body. It is probably the most outstanding of its kind. There are two kiln marks on the shoulder and one on the bottom.
