Height 5.9 cm, Bowl diameter 18.7 x 22.5 cm, Four legs, Okayama Prefectural Museum
This is a so-called “forehead bowl” as seen in Nezumi-Shino and Shino. It was molded by die-cutting, and has five peony-shaped slits on the prospective surface, and is covered with a thick yellow sesame glaze. The four corners of the bottom have slightly high legs, but this is probably a rare example of Bizen ware.
