This is a typical bowl of the latter half of the 8th century, rising immediately from the side of the base.
It is slightly warped toward the mouth rim. The lid has a flattened bead string and the rim is folded at a short right angle. The top is covered with a yellowish-white natural glaze. It was probably made by the Touyuu kiln.
