Height 11.8 cm, mouth diameter 6.6 cm, left and right 19.6 cm, bottom diameter 7.1 cm
This pouring vessel, with an octagonal mouth and body, was probably specially ordered as a teapot.
The body is painted on each side with wind and sail boats, commonly called “orang boats,” but such examples are extremely rare.
The back of the lid is decorated with a unique dragon design.
The inscription “Daimyo Seika Nen” in two lines and six characters is inscribed on the base of the lid.
It was probably made between the end of the 17th century and the first half of the 18th century.
