Height 23.7 cm, mouth diameter 7.5 cm, Umezawa Memorial Hall
This rectangular vase has a similar style to the one shown in the Karatsu votive offering. The body is decorated with plum blossoms and pine trees, and the depiction is similar to that of the same type made by the Hyakumon Kiln, suggesting that it was also made around the Kan’ei period. The colors of the underglaze blue are vivid. In particular, the pine tree with an arched trunk and the plum blossoms with fine flowers on the tips of the thin branches can be said to be unique to early Imari. There is a hole on the back of the bowl.
