This piece was previously known as sukusakate, but the exact same example was excavated from the Yamakoya kiln. The entire piece is thinly molded, and the round plate is pinched on all four sides to create a change, and a round base is carved out. The plate is decorated with a white heron and feathers in underglaze blue. This is one of the finest examples of this type of small dish.
