This plate is inscribed “Genroku 8 Otsugai Kaki” (Genroku 8 Otsugai Persimmon), and the overglaze painting is particularly beautiful among Genroku inscribed plates of this type. The sword guard is decorated with a hozu design on the rim and arabesque design on the three sides and in between with arabesque design on the red ground. The shape of the vessel is well formed and the base has a slightly bluish tinge, and the colors of the underglaze blue are all darkly colored. There is one mark on the base. This is an Important Art Object.
