This water spout with a unique handle was one of the exported porcelains for Europe, and was recently introduced to Japan. The body has an unusual design of three pomegranates alternating with a rounded flying phoenix design, and was probably ordered as a teapot. The design must have been ordered by the European side, and the base material is milky white, suggesting that it was made in the Enpo or Genroku period.
