Height 8.3 cm, diameter 26.0 cm, base diameter 15.4 cm, tripod
This is a tripod dish of almost the same shape as the tripod shaku dish, but it is slightly smaller and the legs are slightly higher. This is also an excellent example from the Okawachi Kiln’s peak period, but it may be somewhat later than the Tripod Shakudara with Dankoto design. However, it is an example of the best of the Nabeshima technique in overglaze enamels, and the design is bright and innovative, indicating the taste of the mid-Edo period.
The center of the dish is alternately colored with blue and red in the shape of a ring and a unique four-lobed flower, with a white ground on one side and a small pattern on the other. The low base of the pot has been widely cut away to create a broad base. The low base is carved broadly, with chrysanthemum-leaf shaped legs on three sides, the legs on lapis lazuli ground, and a rare peony arabesque with flowers of various sizes on the outside.
