Height 2.8cm, Bore 25.7cm x 17.9cm, Base 17.4cm
Compared to the plate with a floral motif on a high stand, this piece is much more refined and can be called an old Nabeshima style dish.
The front is coated with gosu in a light lapis lazuli color, and the floral motifs are painted in white, with flowers and leaves in red, yellow, and green. Although three similar examples have been seen, the shape of this piece, which is a variant of the Shuhama style, is interesting and shows a somewhat free formative quality. The base of the vessel is slightly burnt, the base is high, and the reverse side is plain white. It is also interesting to note the overglaze painting on the three flanks. The three flaws on the three sides are also interesting.
The above two pieces are among the oldest examples of the Ko Nabeshima style that we have seen in the past.
