Among the shaku plates, there are those with sharply twisted inward at the rim. These two works are representative of this type of work, both of which have a roughly arranged Shibagaki design with a cherry blossom and ivy pattern on each side. The back of the dish with a cherry blossom and bushigaki design has peony arabesques on three sides and a double-petaled flower petal design on the base.
The ivy and shibagaki pattern dish has the same design on the reverse, but the base is covered with a cloisonne pattern.
