Both of these two works are representative of Nabeshima’s distinctive arabesque and arabesque motifs on shaku-suke (blue and white) dishes. The back of the plate has a cloisonne design, and the base is covered with a rather short comb pattern.
The latter dish has a vivid underglaze blue coloring. The design on the reverse is the same as the previous plate. The design on the back is the same as on the front.
