This work depicts poppy in an arabesque style, of which there are quite a few examples in existence. The overglaze enamels are truly graceful. The reverse side shows an arabesque design centering on arabesque flowers on three sides, and both the 7″ and 5″ dishes with this design on the reverse side are excellent examples of this style.
