 This small ritual utensil was excavated from a shell mound belonging to the Nara period at the Iba Ruins. It is made of rolled-up cord clay, and the lid is beaten and tightened with a striped hammer, and the surface of the vessel is adjusted by rough shavings. The clay is a coarse gray sandy clay that has been fired very well.
