　This is a unique and rare vessel. It was probably made as an incense burner, but the lid is unusual. The center of the lid is gently raised and perforated with a hole, around which are six holes with a design of “boar eyes” and the body is covered with a design of peonies. The body is covered with a peony design. The bottom is clay with a small seal of “Insei” stamped in the center.
