Height 11.5 cm, mouth diameter 21.5 cm, bottom diameter 9.7 cm
This is an oddly shaped vessel, but it is said to have been a favorite of Kanamori Sowa. The rim of the iron bowl is incised to form a ring with flowers, and a top panel is attached to it. The rounded circular mouth is drilled to one side, and white glaze is applied around the mouth and inside, with a thin layer of iron pigment and two streaks of glaze running across the surface. The white glaze probably represents snow, the circular mouth represents the moon, and the raised flowers are flowers. The rinka has twenty-seven petals, and the flat bottom is stamped with the Insei Makumei seal. It is accompanied by a black lacquered lid, also a favorite of Sowa.
