Kenzan: square dish with design of pine tree, iron brown under glaze

Height 2.5 cm, mouth diameter 21.3 x 21.4 cm, bottom diameter 20.6 x 20.7 cm
The right side of the prospect shows an old pine tree. On the reverse side, “Fusang Yongsang Yongzhou Qianshan Touyin Shouko (斎) Shenzhen Zouzou Usan Baoyong Shinchun” is written in a stately style.
The style of writing is similar to the inscription on the reverse side of the “Square Dish with Iron Rust Painting of Kan’ozo” at the Tokyo National Museum. Hoei kin’u is the eighth year of the Hoei era, and the year was changed to Shōtoku, but since Kenzan left Narutaki in Shōtoku 2 and moved to Nijō Chōjiya-cho, Kyoto, we know that this is the final piece from the Narutaki era.
