6th century
Height 13.0 cm, mouth diameter 5.4 cm, body diameter 7.5 x 17.3 cm
Although the place of provenance is unknown, this vase is probably from western Japan, judging from the clay, firing, and form. The neck of the mouth is small, and the rim of the mouth is heavily bowed outward. It has a single protruding band on the shoulder, and both sides of the body are decorated with protruding bands and dots.
The clay is dense and well-fired.
