The shape of the mouth is interesting, with a petal-like shape like a pomegranate. The inside of the incised mouth is bordered with underglaze blue, and the rim of the mouth is decorated with gold lacquer. The entire surface is covered with a cloud-crane design in gold paint on a red background. The base is decorated with a gold-painted arabesque pattern, and needlework has also been added. The foot ring is open to show the clay, and the words “Dai Nippon Eiraku Zou” are written in underglaze blue within a double circle on the foot ring, and a white glaze has been applied over this.
