This short-necked jar has a high pedestal with three openwork steps on four sides and a bird-shaped lid strap, probably representing a waterfowl. The body is perforated on both sides and the top with three small circular holes. The eyes are made of bamboo tubes. This is one of the best examples of a bird-shaped lid.
