The Inabe Hachimanyama Kofun Tumulus is an 88-meter-long, front-rear circular mound, from which numerous haniwa (clay figurines) and Sue vessels have been excavated from the east and west sides. It is a rectangular three-sided openwork mound with a low pedestal and a number of animals on top of the ear cups. A bird was placed in the center, a dog on each side of the rim, and a dog on each side of the overhanging ears. This type of ear cup was made only in the Kinai region between the 5th and early 6th centuries.
